yesterday i took a day off of studying/wallowing in self pity over how much i need to study, and went out. rek and i joined sean et. al. in seeing underworld, followed by us going (minus the et. al.) going to see nickleback at younge-dundas square.

rek and i were feeling quite affectionate (or silly, or dumb, whatever) so we did stuff that seemed to not sit well with wendy. for example, when i jumped onto a ledge by the sidewalk, and called out: "josh! catch me!" he caught me, swung me around, and kissed me, and wendy cried out "i want one of those!"
i can understand her reaction. but, on a philosophical level, i think that's it's silly to get upset or jealous of other people's happiness. not just in love, but in all forms of success. you'll get along much better if you take their happiness and internalize it, and derive your own joy from theirs.

all in all, it was a fine day, marked by a very filling bean burito. damn, that was gooood burito.

the only bad thing about the whole day was... well... i have this problem. see... i worship george stroumboulopoulos. it's pathetic. and, since the concert was presented by muchmusic, george was there, in all his punk-loving glory. rek and sean kept making fun of me. they picked me up and held me above the croud, yelling "george! this girl loves you!!!"
after the show, we went up to the stage looking for guitar piks, and he walked right by and TALKED TO US! well, he talked to the boys, because, as they pointed out, i just stood there in stunned silence.
i'm such a looser.

after this, we walked sean back to rez, meandering and laughing moronically, as all teenagers with their bellies full of music do. i liked that part best. walking the streets of downtown toronto with two of my favorite people, and being stupid.
