the tragedy of university
here's the thing. we spend all winter huddled indoors, cursing the work we have to do, and cursing the cold outside. we spend free moments looking for warm lounges and cafeterias to rest in.
and now, finally, the sun has come out. the staff have been busy planting in all the flower beds. leaves are starting to poke out on the bare branches of trees. birds appear out of nowhere. people sit on the benches in queens park for no other reason than the fact that, on a day like today, it would be a crime to do otherwise.
the sun is warm on one's back... really warm.

now, after months of wind and cold, it's finally beautiful on campus.
and now, there's no reason to go there.
