intense day.
first day of work. stayed there for 7 hours and did 2 hours of work. i console myself by telling myself that the workload will soon pick up, and right before the election we'll all be longing for the days when we could take breaks. either way, we got to the point where we were asking if we could clean the office, just to have something to do.
the intensity of the day came from some very raw conversations that were had.

went back to karate, after over a year of absence. it was amazing to be moving and sweating again, and i was impressed by how little i had forgotten. i was a bit rusty, no doubt, and slow to pick up on combinations, but i think i did pretty well.
now i'm all tired and healing my wounds with a bowl of cherries.

tomorrow i'm staying home to work on a problem set, then class, then i'm treating myself to go see eternal sunshine of the spotless mind at the kingsway. go team vega!
