The Move has happened: I am now an Annex elf.

Last Friday the new place was painted, and I thank Adnan, Paul, Sean, Miranda, Mitul, Greg and Marcos for their help (or for just being there, as the case may be). I hardly slept that night, and ended up getting up ridiculously early on Saturday morning to finish packing. My dad and I moved all the stuff out of the apartment and into the hall – at which point we realized that the people who were supposed to help us move were not going to show up. Fortunately, my dad was able to get two of his friends to come help load the truck, and I managed to reel in James and Constantine to unload.

We are, of course, not fully settled in yet. Pictures are still not hung on the walls, and I am sleeping on a mattress on the floor, but all of that will be resolved soon enough. In the meantime, I still can’t quite believe where I am living: I wake up in the morning and think I am in my fabulous downtown apartment!
