i just realized not only have i not updated in over a week, i've also nothing to update with.

as i've certainly mentioned, my cousin millena is coming to belgrade today. i'm really excited, as this has been the highligh of my life for the past week or so. starting... today, my vacation starts to go by real fast.
tomorrow is my mom's birthday. misa and i are taking her out to a restaurant that we all really like for lunch/dinner.
the day after tomorrow i'm going to the town of bela crkva to visit my nana, aunt and uncle. i'll be there until sunday. a note: a tragedy recently struck that household, when the beloved cat, sumenko, ran away. i'm very sad. i've had many a joyous day spent trying to force sumenko into the dresses of millena's old dolls. well, they not have a new cat for me to dress. ^_^
i get back to belgrade on sunday, only to go to my drandparent's summer house on monday. i'll be back, along with tika and mila on the 21st or so. i hope that my hotmail account doesn't explode until then...
once i'm back in belgrade, i only have a week until i head back to toronto! yay!
so this means i'd better start getting my gift shopping done...

A Brief on Boxers

It’s a decades old argument. A battle that pits neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, father against son. Some people are more animated in this debate than others. I, while not neutral, have remained mostly silent in this contest. I am silent no more.

I am a briefs-man. That’s right, tighty-whities. I’m wearing a pair now.

I’ve found that many boxers-men are very militant. Like PETA vegans, pro-choice lesbians and the chapter leaders of the Le Leche League, they believe that their way is the only way. Nature’s way. In this case, boxers-men believe that briefs-men are suppressing and dangerously impeding the natural freedoms of their … ahem … twig and berries.

But I say, “I like knowing where my stuff is at all times. I don’t like the idea of dropping one of the twins out the window. And I don’t want my little soldier peeking out of the foxhole. Nope the world out there is not safe, better to keep all my equipment in my rucksack.”

“Yeh,” say the PETA vegan boxer-men. “That’s the problem. All that tightness in that area makes you tighty-whitey guys all pent up. Hell, every modern war was started by men in tight underwear.”

“You can’t prove that.”

“I don’t have to, it’s a fact.”

This is the logic of boxer-men.

Another thing I don’t like about boxers is pants creep. You don’t get any pants creep with briefs. If your pants are even moderately tight in the thighs, your boxer legs have a good chance of bunching up on top of your thighs. Freakish looking. Bothersome.

And wedgies! You can get wedgies just by walking with boxers. I never got a self-induced wedgie in my tighty-whities.

In the end, I suppose, my problem with boxers is maintenance. No one wants to be at a board meeting trying to inconspicuously stop his little man from prairie dogging. Ever try to walk a wedgie out of your pants while trying to impress a girl you just met? And you can’t work out pants creep without pulling down your fly and sticking your hand deep into your pants—most inappropriate at Thanksgiving dinner.
