HOTDOCS 2006

It's the most wonderful time of the year: HotDocs time! That's right, boys and girls, Toronto's biggest and best documentary film fest is taking place from April 28 to May 7.

Naturally, this means that I can't attend most of it, due to my exams. I have decided to make it up to myself by making May 7 my big Doc Day. I would like to see three films that day: Our Daily Bread, Hors les Murs, and either Pas de Pays Sans Paysans or Fatherland. You can read descriptions of all of them here.

Each screening is $10. Anyone want to join me for one or more of them? Let me know ASAP so that I can buy the tickets.

Yay! That was exactly what I needed. Last night, the Group got together to make apple pie.

We learned many lessons, including the importance of thinly chopped fruit in the filling, but no one died, and I had a wonderful time. Thanks to everyone for not raining on my parade, despite having doubts about the plan. You more than made up for the crappy week I'd been having.

On that last note: My dad has cooled down, and things are now fine in the Janic household.

Now all that's left is to not fail thermal, and life will be perfect.
