first it was the looting of the museaum. now they're burning books.
is there no end to it?
is there no history left, anywhere?

is there no limit to the victims of this war? first, the thousands of iraqis who will die of bombs and bullets and starvation. then the hundreds that will die as a new government is formed. and now the millions, the masses of millions of human beings who went into making those books, and those clay tablets, those calendars, that first wheel.
and the billions: us. that was our history.
