Friday: I met up with Sean at the Eaton Centre, where we wandered around for many hours. At about 9 we went to a certain bar/club where we were supposed to see my friend’s band perform, but people were smoking in the venue, and there was almost no seating, so we left. Sean persuaded me to see Over the Hedge, and I’m so glad he did. I had such a great time at the movie, the sort of good time you can only have at a PG film: I laughed out loud, cheered and gasped.

Saturday: After two very enjoyable tutoring sessions, I went over to Adnan’s. I was supposed to help him paint his apartment, but we had to wait for his mom and brother to get home. During that time, I finished God of War, the very first game I ever played. Go me!
When Arif and his mom got home, we assembled an Ikea closet. I felt very handy. At about midnight, we started painting. I really enjoyed all of this: I like doing stuff with my hands. It gives a very unique feeling of satisfaction, one that, as a person whose life is mostly in books and on paper, I otherwise rarely get.

Sunday: Tutoring, and visiting Mehaik. I haven’t seen her in about a year, and I was so happy that we finally got together and that we’re gonna get our friendship back on track. I ate too many paratas.

Monday: Did some packing for the move, met up with Sean and Marcos, wandered about downtown. We were joined by Adnan and Greg, had dinner at the Pickle Barrel, and went to Adnan’s to move furniture.

I know it doesn’t sound like much, but it was a really awesome weekend. I had fun. ^_^
