how i made the Grand & Toy girl's day:

it all started with a mechanical pencil. a beautiful pencil, the fairest in the land. it had triangular comfort grip. it was wide. it was gooood.
and then i lost it.
BUT! lo and behold, i go to the store, and i find it yet again! and we had a beautiful time together, writing tests and threatening letters... until, one day, it melted. i kid you not. ask mitul, she was there.

i figured i'd never find it again. i resigned myself to a life of inferior mechanical pencils. but today, we go into the local Grand & Toy, and i ask the girl there if they have it... and she boldly strode into the writing utensils aisle, and she found it!
"yes! that's it, you found it!" i squealed in delight.

she smiled, and i think she was quite happy to have served me. hell, i would have been happy to serve me.

i know it sounds over dramatic, but it's hard to be me. i was reading two somebodies just now, and these is no way to explain what happened in my head except with the use of a quote and emoticons:

We were also thinking about New Years' and were thinking about going to Montreal (^_^) and obviously drinking our asses drunk there.(-_-)

sometimes, i almost wish i did drink, just so i wouldn't have to feel so...outside.

well pardon me for not having an interesting life! i've mostly worked for the past week. in fact, this weekend was my first days off in a week. THE HORROR! fortunately, this wednesday is my last day of work, and i am very happy about that.

friday was addy's annual summer bash, which was very nice for the two hours i was there. i then left to go see the martix reloaded with rek. i was just as amazing as the first time.

saturday i went to "same planet, different world," an SMC orientation event. it was just a big campus scavenger hunt thing, but it was fun. i met at least one person who i would feel comfortable going up to in the future. so i figure i achieved my goals for that day.

yesterday i went to rek's grandparent’s house to celebrate cousin sara's birthday and to celebrate that alexis is going off to university. but man... i wish my family was like that. as sara was opening her birthday cards, she'd take out $40, $50... i want cash!!!

so i'm off to work again... WELCOME HOME MANDY!
