sean and the girls have all done the surverys below on their blogs. i don't usually dig the survey scene, but tonight i was filled with the impetus to fill this out. enjoy!

1. Full Name: Biljana Vega Janic
2. What Do You Look Like: 165cm, 60-odd kg, brown hair with spots of black from last winter's dye attempts, eyes that change colour depending on the time of day, state of the atmosphere, my mood, and what I'm wearing.

i would like to say that i am very much not fond of sean right now (and mitul, you're in trouble too!)
what's all this about telling ADULTS about the blogs? i mean, what happened to the good old days when grown-ups were the enemies? now i have the suspicion of jim having been here (thank you mitul) and mr. chen just posted on the tag board (sean...).
i mean, thanks mr. chen for the nice comment, but this is where i vent about my insecurities and family problems - and that's just the last two posts. you're not supposed to know about those things.
rightly or wrongly, we do tend to put up these walls. only certain people are supposed to know what's really going on in our heads. but my immediate concern isn't quite so philosophical, it is simply that all i say here is typical teenage stuff, the kind of stuff that's interesting to my friends who are going through similar situations, but must sound ridiculous to someone who is at least 10 years past all this.

to those of you who are curious about my current MSN name ("U of T elf/ i've noticed a direct correlation between talking to my father and suicidal tendencies"), allow me to explain.
last night vit wanted me to write an application for visitation with anne in my own name. i have always been opposed to being involved in this legal dispute between him and my ex-step-mother, but to him it's a matter of family unity. so when i didn't want to get involved he got off on his usual "i'm all alone in the world" rant. however, this digressed into what a failure i am, how i'll never make anything of myself, how i'll never make it to Cambridge... i think it's that last one that got me most. Cambridge has been my dream for as long as i care to remember, and for him to just flat out say that i'll never achieve it... that really hurt.
and yes, for a moment, when he was saying those things, i really thought life was not worth living.

i must say, i never cease to be amazed at the female species ability to be insecure. take me for example. after a year and four months, i'm still as sure that josh is about to leave me at any moment as i was a year ago. and i do realize it's not healthy and that it's only causing me stress that i simply cannot deal with, but i can't help it.
one can only hope that the legends they tell us are true, and by the time us girls turn 30 we'll finally be comfortable in our skins. here's hoping.
