Arndt Peltner is awesome. On this week’s Radio Goethe he includes a couple of EMB bands (Heimataerde and Supreme Court). He comments on how impressed he is at how the EBM/Industrial bands can always find or invent such dark-sounding words (Like the title of Heimataerde’s new album, “Kadavergehorsam,” a made up word that means something like “the obedience of a cadaver”). But what makes this so wonderful is that Arndt uses his “scary voice” to talk about it. ^_^

I saw my first dandidlion today!

I realize I’ve been neglecting the ol’ blog lately, so to make up for that, I will now catch you up on my life since school ended:

Friday, April 13: The last day of school. Sean and I met up, then pretended to be zoology students in order to get free food. I wowed them with my knowledge of the life-cycle of the cuttlefish. Okay, that last part didn’t happen.

Friday, April 20: Mike Bailey had a dinner party. I brought cake!

Saturday, April 21: In the morning, I went to see my first HotDoc of the season. I was very pleased to see that the Bloor cinema was packed for the screening of Yoga Inc. The movie was about how yoga is commercialized in the West, stripped of its spiritual aspects are marketed at exercise.
That night, I went to the Docks to see VNV Nation and And One! Getting there was a bit of an adventure, and I won’t share with you either how I got there or how I got home, for you may scold me. The important thing is that once I got there, the shows were awesome. I really liked And One (famous for their single, “Military Fashion Show”), and VNV was awesome, of course.

Wednesday, April 25: My first exam, didn’t go too great, but I’ve had worse. I met Miranda and Adz afterwards for another doc – Licu’s Holiday, which I thought was really good. Pho and other hangouts followed.

Actually, I think I’ll stop there. I am feeling hungry, and perhaps should go home.
