random childhood story:

once upon a time, when little elf was about five, she was at her nana's house. her aunt, slavica, was giving her daughter a shower, as was costom in the household. auntie asked little elf, "does your mum give you baths or showers at home?"
howerver, little elf just answered "i don't need a bath or shower. i'm clean."
but auntie insisted: "i have no doubt you're clean. but you're getting a shower anyway."
"nope. i'm clean."
it went on this way from some time. finally, little elf put her little hands on her hips and pronounced: "auntie, i'm a capricorn. we are an earth sign, and so don't like water!"
auntie answered, "well, i'm also a capricorn. i'm an earth sign, and i like water very much."

i find this very cute. it's sad, but i'm still the same way: can't get me in the tub. however, i have progressed since then: now, once i'm in, i never get out.

i'm happy. very happy. things seem to be on the upswing for me, ever since i found out i'm gonna have the apartment to myself for a few days.
but, if truth be told, i'm a bit down. the last time he was out of town was... more interesting. oh well...

got back from the summer house today. it's great. it's in the middle of nowhere, between a tiny town and an even smaller town. i love it. well, at least when it's cool. it's terrbile when it's hot. but the four days i was there were nice and cool, and we made blackberry tea from real blackberry leaves, and hat it with crystals of yellow sugar, and it smelled like max. and my mom and i walked to town on the two days she was there, and i had a coke in a glass bottle, and i LOVE coke from glass bottles. and i helped my grandpa pick ppples and almonds and quince (and no one even knows what the hell a quince is...). and i chilled, and caught my favorite episode of the simpsons on tv (the one where homer gets a job in cyprus creek). it was a great few days.

my dad's coming tomorrow, so i'm all packed. i'm spending the night at vesna's. she made an appointment for me to have my indian horoscope read, and i'm excited about that.

i'll be back in toronto wednesday. i can't wait to see everyone!

something horrible and wonderful just happened. my dad is coming to yugoslavija this saturday. while this means that the days from saturday to wednesday will suck, it also means that when i get to toronto, from wednesday until saturday, i will be GLORIOUSLEY ALONE!!!
i've e-mailed my friends to ask someone to take me in.
^_^ this is gonna be great. like when my dad went to budapest, i won't be spending any time at home. except, unlike last time, i have to boyfriend to break me heart. yay!
