well, i don't care what the neighbors say, i liked my new years eve!

there were ten of us, up until 8 a.m., when everyone decided to go see the sunrise. it was real nice...
but apparently we were too loud for too long. there was ten of us, and we didn't even play the music too loud. well, the super said she wouldn't tell my dad, so long as i don't let it happen again. sigh... and i was just getting the hang of this hostessing thing.

you know what we did? josh was coming over, but he just missed midnight, so we taped the countdown and played it for him when he arrived. he seemed rather pleased by that.
the only really rowdy thing we did was at midnight davis lit a paper towel roll on fire, but all was well, no one died.
really, from one to seven, we just played home made twister, a game of truth (but not dare. i had gotten into the coka cola, so i made up really horrible dares, like touching cat shit, or for truman to put his "bits" in a sock....), and card games. and i really had no idea we were being so loud! i mean, my neighbors, in the summer, sit on their balcony for all hours of the night and talk, but i don't complain. and how many times have i been bothered by doors slamming, people arguing, and apparently doing heavy construction? anyway...

:::glances at floor and shudders::: we weren't loud, but we were messy. this place is a sty. i cleaned most of it last night, but now i most go sweet, vacuum, and mop. cheers and happy new year!

wow... new years eve day...

let me just recap last night: miranda's holiday parthy went down, and it was real nice. towards the end we discovered something more fun than truth or dare. more fun than asking each other embarassing questions, is asking each other serious questions, and having meaningful conversations, and appreciating each other as human beings. i really liked that.

tonight the plan is to go skating at NPS, then come back here 7ish to just mellow out, watch a video, have a pizza, and chillax.

taking inspiration from addy (and, in case you don't look at the comments on your lj, i AM pleasantly surprised), i need to figure out my new years resolutions. i know i managed all the ones from last year. and i think i know what i want to do this year:

1) when outside, hold my head up, look at the world, and smile at strangers.
2) study more.

and that's it.
