Komm mit mir auf den Eisbrecher

Yesterday I had one of those awful days where I felt miserable about everything in the world.
As I was getting off the subway at Islington, I thought to myself "Well, it's 9:30 pm. When I get home I can just get to bed early and tomorrow will be a better day."

But I did not have to wait for sleep to do its cleansing work. When I got home, on my desk, was a package from Amazon.ca, the package I have been longing for.
It was Wahrheit oder pflicht by Oomph! and Eisbrecher by Eisbrecher.

Since there would not be enough time to listen to both, I choose Eisbrecher, arguing that of the two it was the one more likely to be bad,leaving my the better CD for later.
How wrong I was.

The entire album was amazing! Not a single bad song to be found. I have long felt that Alexx is one of the treasures of German music, and this album confirmed it. His voice is absolutely perfect: deep, powerful, and resonating.
The album is filled with songs that just make you (read: me) want to dance. In fact, I had myself a nice little desk disco going.

Now I'm divided between listening to Eisbrecher again, or trying out Oomph!. Oh, and speaking of Oomph!, Dero looks very very nice in the liner art.
