so, you may have been asking yourself: where is the elf? how could it be that in this time where so much is happening, i've written so little?
well, my friends, i have been trying to avoid blogging, for fear that i would have to publicly announce my poor academic state. you see, i was running a very real risk of being suspended from UofT.
fortunately, yesterday i got my calc mark back, and it was... a glorious B! in fact, this is the best grade i've got in university so far. i am not gonna get suspended, and, in fact, since my CGPA is now 1.6, i'm not even on academic probation. i'm in good standing.

yesterday i got a call in the afternoon from josh, asking me to help him clean all his laundry. somewhere between the fact that the washing machine in the new house is crap and the fact that he is comfortable living in his own filth, he decided to go to the Magic Coin Laundry to do everything. it was a surprisingly fun time.
we went back to his place, tidied up, and then i learned of MY GLORIOUS GRADE!!!
as you can imagine, i was very happy with the results.

i'm really looking forward to the new school year. i'm feeling very eager to go to class, to learn, to study. i was telling josh yesterday that i think the most important thing i learned this year was that "work is play." i got so overwhelmed with all the little things i had to do, that i forgot that, at the end of the day, math and physics are FUN. i wrote about the calculus party i had last spring, and how much i enjoyed that. i also had a great time with summer school. i hope i will be able to maintain that sense of fun over the coming year, for the sake of my CGPA and of my sanity and health.

another piece of news is that josh is going to dynamy for sure now. that, of course, is a very sad and very happy thing for me. but i think that, overall, the time will pass quickly, and the benefits outweigh the problems.
i'm worried about how my dad will react to all of it.

i end by saying that i love my big squishy lovey yummy man. he is wonderful.
