I tried to post this on Monday, but Blogger was all like Ah em Bloggah, heah me ror! So here it is:
The Greg-Adnan-Halloween-Birthday Spectacular
On Saturday night, I frantically finished putting on my makeup. It took far longer than I expected – I guess it’s been so long since I’ve worn my ears, I forgot how long it takes. In addition to them was a pile of glitter and gems, photographs of which will soon be available.
People on the subway stared at me as if they didn’t know what time of year it is. I ran into Adnan, Kevin, Moonal and Greg at Osgoode, and we went to East! where we were joined by Sean, Miranda and John. I had the Cantonese wonton for the sole reason that it contained pork, and I’ve recently been really into pork. I’m sure this will lead to my untimely death.
At the last minute, we decided to go to Fez Batik, where I got to watch a girl get fingered by a guy she had just met. I guess it wasn’t their fault: They could not restrain their urges after watching Pirates, which was being played near the dance floor (Yes, that Pirates).
We got to Adnan’s place at some ungodly hour, and Sean and Adz played Mortal Combat for a while (I tried too, but I sucked and so I soon grew bored of it).
The next morning, Adnan and I rushed to get dressed and ready to go to the Eid party. Once we got there, I had a great time. Much talking to awesome people was had, as well as much admiring of everyone’s gorgeous saris and jewelry. The music was way too loud, and I got a headache from having to yell very loudly about why we should boycott Chinese products.
All in all, a very effective weekend.
In other, less suggestively feminist news, I got job (Come to think of it, that's pretty feminist...). I'll be working at Laura Secords at Younge Station. Go team!
Lastly, I thought the October 29th entry at Arndt Peltner's blog was charming. He sounds like he just had some ouzo.
