vega's spoooooky halloween!

last week, greg invited me to the phoenix for this saturday (yesterday). later that day, i hear on the radio that this is the night that the edge is having their halloween event, and they will be giving our marilyn manson CDs and tickets to his upcoming concert. i am super hyped! maybe they'll play a whole bunch of his song! maybe it'll be all goth rock!

i tell this to greg, and he and his brother ditch out on me. they loathe our poor antichrist superstar, and don't want to go. i am sad.
i resign myself to doing nothing for halloween. i vaguely toy with the idea of going by myself, but know, deep down inside, that i won't.

then last night i talk on the phone with josh, and he convinces me that i should go anyway. and i say, "hell yeah!" so i put on my ears and head out.
i ran into stan and a friend of his at islington station, so that made the ride into town a lot more fun.

i get into line for the phoenix at about 11:15 pm. tragically, i underestimated the fact that people like to go out on halloween, and at midnight i was still in line (although it may be worth noting that i was about 15 min away from entering). i have a pass that allows me to get in any saturday before midnight. since that hour had come, and i didn't want to pay cover, i went home.

some of you may think this was a waste of a night and a disappointing event all in all. i disagree. i didn't have any emotions concerning the events, so i can't label the evening as good or bad. however, i did very much enjoy the costumes i got to see. some people really went all out, and it was quite amazing to see.
