i'm just wanting to leave a little note to max, in case you're reading this.

i'm so excited for you! i can't wait to hear all about vancouver, the places you go, things you do, and peaople you meet. when you said you wanted an "adventure," i'm sure that's exactly what you'll get. actually, i'm a bit jealous. i'd love to be able to just pick up and go to some random city for a while. well, maybe in a year or two...
but i'm also gonna miss you something dreadful. even though you "usually" come by monthly, you have been spending more time than usual over here. and, even without that, you have become very special to me very fast. i love you babe, and i wish you all the best as you go out into the uncharted canadian west!
don't do anything i wouldn't do.... and therefore do everything i would do.
and, when in doubt, "if you won't get caught, do it!"
